Certified Organic Blueberries since 1977 at Pleasant Hill Farm
In 1937, John’s grandfather bought the original section of the family farm and in the next few years, he and his sons planted blueberry bushes. John and Joan established Pleasant Hill Farm in 1976 and began growing organic fruit. Over the next twenty years, they slowly converted all the acres of blueberries to organic practices. In the past couple of years, they have added organic strawberry patches and a peach orchard. Every March, they celebrate spring by tapping their maple trees and boiling down hundreds of gallons of sap to make maple syrup.
One of their favorite mottos is “blessed to be a blessing”, and their hope is that when visitors spend time at Pleasant Hill Farm, they will be refreshed spiritually and nutritionally.
